Susanna Lewis is a published author, successful blogger (AKA -A Yorkshire Girl), poet, motivational speaker, aromatherapist and therapeutic writer with a passion for improving the mental health and wellbeing of people using the craft of writing and related natural health techniques.
Using her own life experiences Susanna looked for ways to help her own mental health through her love of writing. Following the completion of a course and training on Therapeutic Writing delivered by the Professional Writing Academy, she developed a series of workshops to help others in their quest to improve their own health. Susanna is a popular speaker on her favourite topic 'Writing for Wellbeing' and has spoken at various groups and venues throughout Yorkshire, including the Living North event at York Racecourse.
Susanna reached the final short list of a short play category at Swanwick Writers Summer School. Her comedy play 'Dominoes Anyone' was performed live on stage in August 2019. Susanna is currently directing and performing in Promoting Yorkshire Authors live performance at Ilkley Literature Festival in October 2019.
Susanna has published two books to date with another one due out in October 2019. Her poetry book 'The Journey' is an emotional, personal journey through life, using the art of poetry. Her second book 'Ageless Beauty' is a book written for women over the age of forty helping the reader deal with relevant health issues such as menopause using aromatherapy and other natural therapies. Susanna has also had poems chosen for entry in other publications including Eye Flash Poetry.
Susanna holds the following qualifications - BA Hons History, English and Art Studies. ISPA Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Meditation and Mindfulness, Manifestation using the Law Of Attraction and Vision Boards, Life Coaching and Therapeutic and Reflective Writing. Susanna has completed over 1000 hours of Creative Writing Courses. DBS checked. Susanna is a member of Lapidus International, the words for wellbeing association.
