Sapphire sky, still air is crisp
The ground is white with snow
Yet in the corner by the shed
A lump of snowdrops grow
Roots and leaves are cuddled
Beneath a blanket white
And peeping heads above the snow
Give quite a wondrous sight
I must confess these flowers
Renew my faith each spring
Joy and Hope and Promise
From such a fragile thing
Like life itself they push their way
Through earth’s unyielding crust
The miracle of these gentle blooms
Provide a new born trust
Cold steely frosts of winter
Cast ice along the fence
Whilst dancing heads of snowdrops
Show beauty so immense
Pink winter sun illuminates
These jewels of white and green
In the cycle of life’s mystery
Mother Nature rules supreme

Who is this stylish lady
attired in the gorgeous dress?
Robed for a special occasion
Her family to impress.
Could it be her wedding
Or the wedding of a friend?
Whatever is the reason
Her chic will surely blend.
Happiness lights up her face
With an enigmatic smile.
This beauty draws attention
Her viewers to beguile.
So we’ll just gaze and wonder
Enchanted by her form.
Never to solve the mystery
Why this lovely dress was worn.
